Knowledge as a Chance
Training in Family Planning (FP), Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) – Mulika Afrika Program
Knowledge enables making informed decisions regarding sexual behaviour, family planning and on contraception, and genital health.
Empowering Maasai Communities through educational programms in Family Planning (FP), Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)
Phase 1: We implemented the “Knowledge as a Change” program, training 19 Maasai community health workers from Longido, Ngorongoro, and Monduli in Arusha. These RAIN WORKERs are now equipped to educate their communities on sexual and reproductive health, and lead efforts against FGM and HIV/AIDS. Phase 1 was completed in February 2024.
Phase 2: Phase 2 involves follow-up support and certification. We anticipate that more than 45,000 individuals will be reached by these RAIN WORKERs. This impactful project is funded by Action Regen from Austria.

What do we do?
In the Maasai regions, the landscape of healthcare is shaped by both geographic isolation and cultural practices. Mulika Afrika is tackling these challenges head-on, implementing strategies that not only provide immediate medical care but also build sustainable health systems.
- Bringing Healthcare to Remote Areas
- Promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health
- Training Local Health Workers
- Confronting Harmful Practices
