Environmental Sustainability
Sustainable Garden Towers
Climate change poses a significant threat to the traditional lifestyle of the Maasai, particularly affecting their pastoral and agricultural practices. To combat these challenges, Mulika Afrika has launched several initiatives focused on raising awareness and promoting environmentally friendly practices that are adaptable and effective in our local context.
Empowering Maasai Communities to create sustainable agricultural practices
We successfully implemented a project focused on educating communities about the benefits and construction of garden towers. Participants had the opportunity to learn about sustainable agriculture practices and gain practical experience in building and maintaining garden towers. This initiative not only provided valuable skills but also empowered individuals to grow their own food in an environmentally friendly manner, contributing to greater food security and sustainability within their communities.

What do we do?
Our programs in climate action and conservation are tailored to harmonize traditional knowledge with modern sustainable practices, ensuring that the Maasai can thrive on their lands for generations to come.
